Who are Trinity College?
Trinity College London is an international exam board with a rich heritage of academic rigour and a positive, supportive approach to assessment. They have been been providing assessments around the world since 1877 and now, each year, over 700,000 candidates in over 60 countries take a Trinity assessment!
Regulated by Ofqual (Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation) they provide internationally recognised and respected qualifications across a unique spectrum of communicative skills; from music, drama and arts activities to English language at all levels.
The Trinity College London syllabus is specifically designed to help students' progress. It inspires learners and marks their achievement at each stage of their development and at all levels of competence. Trinity exams focus on assessing skills and how effectively the candidates can apply what they have learnt, not just on knowledge for its own sake.
Unlike other exam boards in performance, Trinity allows candidates to enjoy an entirely free choice of repertoire in all examinations. This encourages our students to bring their own choices and interests into their work which not only echoes the Kids’ Theatre Works commitment to working with our students' ideas and creative genius, but importantly, it motivates students and makes the assessment more relevant and enjoyable to them.
We are pleased to offer Trinity Exams to students in our Musical Theatre, Acting and Solo Performance classes. Selected Musical Theatre and Acting students will have the opportunity to take Group Graded examinations and Solo Performance students will be given the opportunity to take Solo Graded Examinations.
Please note that exams can be only be taken by students who have been recommended by their instructor and are prepared to commit to the work that is required. However, whether or not our students take the exam, all of our Musical Theatre, Acting and Solo Performance students benefit and learn from the Trinity College London syllabus.
